Yanwaili Anti-Blemish Brightening Lotion review

The Yanwaili Anti-Blemish lotion is one of the 6-step regimen from the Anti-Blemish line by Yanwaili.

Description:

“ Yanwaili Anti-Blemish Brightening Lotion is a lightweight formula that instantly replenishes moisture in acne-prone skin. it contains natural herbal extracts to deeply hydrate skin while soothing and reducing redness. It keeps pores clear and prevents them from clogging. When used daily, skin is noticeably softer, clearer and healthier looking.
Result:
  • Pore Occlusion is reduced.
  • Sebum secretion is controlled.
  • Acne is eliminated.  “

The lotion contains:
1. Retinoic Acid - Retinoic acid is the active form of retinol. Actual retinoic acid creams are only available from a doctor or dermatologist which is prescribed for serious skin conditions like acne.
2. Salicylic Acid -Salicylic acid is especially helpful in treating acne because of its ability to penetrate the follicle. It encourages the shedding of dead skin cells from within the follicle, helping keep the pores clear.

I apply this at night every time I breakout which is normally during TOM. It works wonders on my skin as it softens the skin but also reduces whiteheads, blemishes and redness. The lotion is a clear gel that’s kind of sticky but doesn’t feel oily as it reduces the oil and sebum on the skin. It does have a weird smell to it but it doesn’t really bother me as it does go away after a while. It does contain some parabens so I wouldn’t suggest using this everyday but it really does reduce my blemishes so its worth a try.
Some downside: the packaging can be bothersome as you have to shake it for the product to come out and the smell.
Overall I think that this lotion is a good product for combination/oily skin and acne prone skin.
4/5!
